If you are looking for information as to how you can change your ielts test date in Nepal, get a refund of
your IELTS examination fee, or cancel your ielts test date, you have come to the right place.
So, you have
signed up for IELTS via the British Council and now you want a refund!
You can only get a 100 % refund for your IELTS
exam fee if you provide British Council with a medical certificate (with your
timetable). This will work as a valid proof to testify why you were not able to
take the exams on the date due. Remember, this certificate has to be from a
qualified medical practitioner and has to have his/her Nepal Medical Council
number.
In addition to this document, you must
also submit a completed ‘Request for Refund Form’. (You can find this in the British Council website)
Note: You must submit these two documents to
the British Council within a span of five weeks from the date of the IELTS
written exams (you have missed). You will not get a refund if you have already
taken any one component of the IELTS exams.
Or, do you simply want
to cancel your IELTS date?
British
Council does have provisions for you to cancel your IELTS test date 35 days before your actual exam date. You
will have to visit the British Council office with the original receipt (the
one that the bank gave you at the time of deposit). Submit this receipt along with your bank details(savings account) and the completed 'Request for Refund Form'.
The British Council will deduct a small administrative fee and refund your money.
Alternatively, you can also do an ielts test date change(Nepal) 35 days prior to your actual exam date. In order to postpone your ielts date you will have to visit the British Council office with the original receipt(the one that the bank gave you at the time of deposit). Submit this receipt along with your bank details and the completed 'Request for Refund Form'.
In this case also, the British Council will deduct a small postponement fee and refund you your money.
