The table demonstrates the number of fiction, non-fiction and magazines sold by a college
bookstore to non-book Club members and book club members in the year
2000(month: February). Overall, the bookshop
sold the highest number of magazines and the least number of fiction items.
Firstly, the total number of fiction items brought by non-book
club members was 75, which was almost equal to the number of fiction items
brought by book club members (76). Secondly,
non-book club members purchased 345 non-fiction items from the bookshop in the
month of February, but the number of non-fiction items purchased by book club members
was approximately three times higher (942). Furthermore, the total of fiction,
non-fiction, and magazines bought by college staff was nearly twice compared to the number of bought by members of the
public, that is, 405 and 204, respectively. In addition, magazines were the most
popular among college students of non-book club Members (2149), whereas fiction
was the least popular among members of the public.
Moreover, although the bookshop sold only 141 fiction items(to its members) in the month of February, it sold 1287 non-fiction items and 1696 magazines in
total.
